We want children to open their eyes to a world of invention and creativity to solve real-life problems. In Northern Ireland, around 670,000 people live in rural areas, some 37% of the population.

With the help of some magnificent makers, we made the ideas of 400 pupils across 16 primary schools a reality around ways to invent solutions to problems associated with living in rural areas

How to enter!

Children can submit more than one invention idea.

Submit invention ideas through our upload page.

  1. Draw your invention on our Little Inventors worksheet
  2. Scan the *whole* sheet as straight on as possible
  3. Upload it in JPEG, PNG or GIF format (choose a file)

Each invention idea will comprise of an image of a clear drawing, the name, age and location of the inventor, the name of the invention and a description, and a contact email address.
